Places We’ve Been: Bahia Salinas, Isla Carmen in BCS Mexico

We loved Salinas for its easy clear anchoring, clean white sand beach, great snorkeling over the wreck, nearly abandoned ghost town and small hunting lodge and the remnants of the salt mine.
Places We’ve Been: Puerto Ballandra (Isla Carmen), BCS Mexico

Known for its nearly 360 degree protection, we spent a few separate days here and want to write what info we gathered while we were here.
Places We’ve Been: Bahia Candeleros, BCS Mexico

Backed by the impressive Sierra de le Giganta Mountains and boasting a world class view of Isla’s Danzante and Carmen at sunset, this is an anchorage not to miss.
Places We’ve Been: Punta San Telmo, BCS Mexico

In any sort of weather, neither Los Gatos nor Punta San Telmo would be that great, but it was settled so we headed in. The best info we had was out of the Shawn and Heather book, Sea of Cortez, a Cruisers Guidebook.
Places We’ve Been: Isla San Francisco (East Anchorage)

An anchorage off the beaten path, not great protection but it serves a purpose.
Places We’ve Been: Playa la Bonanza- (Isla Espíritu Santo, Baja Mexico)

After nearly two years of not writing about places we went on the boat in Mexico and Central America, I’m back to start writing those stories.
