Post Ultra-DNF…Dusting Off The Basics

It’s been months since I was DFL and took a DNF in my very first ultra attempt.  There are not many excuses except I made a decently good decision to DNF.  I was undertrained and just didn’t have the right long distance shoes.

Now it’s really time to get up, dust off and start training again.  I have goals for racing in April.  And I’m continuing to prepare for donkey racing, but that racing isn’t up to just me…the donkeys get a key vote.  We may not make any race this year because donkey training is slow.

But for me, it’s consistent training and distance that needs to get done.

This is where I’ve been and where I start from.
