This last day in Greece would be a whirl of quick breakfast, another last bus ride….airport in Athens. Then a very long flight into Canada where we would clear US Customs (didn’t quite understand this one) and finally get on another flight to Los Angeles, Ca. Once there, we said our goodbyes and headed to another shuttle to get to the car. Then a 3-4 hour drive back home….finally.
From start to finish, this was an action packed trip with unexpected twists. The other group we were paired with certainly caught me off guard, as I just didn’t comprehend what that would mean for us….as a group. We were still the folks from our little desert town….but in the end it was all good, we came home safe and sound.
I hope you have liked reading this series about our trip with our kids to these ancient sites in Greece. It’s been a blast writing them…I’ll close out the series next week with some final thoughts, but in the meantime…have a great weekend.
