Being stuck in a marina waiting on a part is something all too familiar to us. But being stuck in the midst of a royal showdown of feline and canine proportions is just EPIC! Both our four-leggeds are female. While Queen Quincy Dane is used to being the sole reigning pet aboard, Oreo, the new flirtatious feline is attempting to steal the crown for attention and the highly coveted siesta spaces onboard. The pressure is high and the battle is on! Needless to say, there’s never a dull moment onboard and the entertainment is priceless.
We knew bringing a cuddly kitty into the mix would throw off our rich homeostasis onboard Tulum V, but over time Queen Quincy has taken to it much better than we expected. Even so, siesta time has gotten a whole lot more exciting around here. We’re stepping back, but still hosting supervised visits due to the intense competition for the crown. Head to head, here’s the matchup in five tough categories:

5) Crossing the Gulf of Tehuantepec
At the end of the day, there is enough room and plenty of attention for both divas onboard. Oreo is learning her place in the royal court of Tulum V and eventually we think we’ll have more days like this.
Although we’re still stuck in a marina waiting on parts, we’re making the best of it…and it’s giving both puppy and kitty a chance to get to know each other and adapt to life together.
