Happy World Donkey Day….will you read and celebrate with us? We’re happy to own and care for donkeys AND give them a purpose driven life. I don’t think our donks would be happy just lounging in the back exercise pens, but I know they’re happy getting out and training for racing. And I sensed their happiness when we actually raced….it was evident as she nearly pulled me off my feet over a dozen times with her need for speed.
We’re going to keep writing about donkeys, as we’re training them to race and I’m in school to become a donkey farrier.

On the big island they sell Donkey Balls! The are chocolate covered macadamia nuts. The name came from the donkeys carrying the macadamia balls down the mountains to be processed. Locals would refer to the haul as donkey balls! LOL
