Finally, time to say goodbye and fly home.

Last day in Japan, we boarded our bus and headed to the airport.  Once there, we found the usual chaos wasn’t so bad, as Japan seems pretty organized.  We boarded our plane home and spent 10 hours flying back to LAX.  Goodbye Japan, I loved the trip.

Here’s a few highlight pics of our trip:

Osaka Castle (Tenshu)

One row of the famous lanterns
The world’s largest wooden building until 1997. To say the complex is large is an understatement.
Another view of the Buddha.
The grounds of the Great Buddha Hall (outside the Chumon gate) were abundant with deer.
The Golden Pavilion, a Japanese treasure.
The bamboo grove,,,,really surreal.
The beginning of the path through the 800 Torii. See the original fox’s on either side-
This is how the scramble crossing looks from above, you go right through the center to do the crossing….with LOTs of other people.
Giant Torii Gate entrance.
The kids could tell you who this guy is in a heartbeat, but they’re in school while I write these posts, so I don’t know who this is.
We met our friends at the busy, bustling Akihabara Train Station.

Tokyo Tower
Nakajima-no-ochaya on the right. The teahouse was built in 1707 and reconstructed/renovated in 1983.
5-level pagoda.

Finally, it was time to say goodbye to Japan and our awesome guide and fly home.
