Book Review: From the Wings of Fire Series: Darkstalker By Tui T. Sutherland
If you’re one to like a tragic tale of love, power, revenge, and above all, friendship; then this is the book for you!
First, there’s a dark side. Darkstalker demonstrates his enormous power to Clearsight, and this is just the tip of the iceberg. We also learn he has a powerful sense of revenge. When his mother is captured, the blame falls on his semi-evil father, and Darkstalker makes his father dismember HIMSELF!
Secondly however, we learn that Darkstalker has a good side too. He shows his love for Clearsight by wasting some of his soul and making the Dreamvisitors, magical gems that allow one to look into another’s dreams. Darkstalker also demonstrates his amazing friendship with Clearsight and Fathom by taking them on great adventures, and even tried to take over a kingdom for their future.
I think this adventurous but tragic tale is amazing! It is a good family book and will be a great addition to your bookshelf!

Sitting in this anchorage with good cell service and a beautiful view down the channel, I’m struck by how much the kids are actually learning by being stuck on the boat….24/7.
