That which is remembered shall never fade. So I remember 9/11 like it was yesterday. It’s a funny memory with a way of reminding me of all the senses, smells and perceptions from that day and the days that followed. We’ve moved back and established the Adventure Base in the same town where I lived and worked on 9/11. I didn’t think I would come back, but fate has a way of drawing her net around you as life goes on.
I think for Americans of a certain age, this was our generation’s Pearl Harbor. We still remember Pearl Harbor and I hope we still continue to remember 9/11 forever. Not to remember out of hate, but to remember for the memory of the innocents and never repeat that terrible history.
We travel slow, but we remember 9/11.
