A quick update about Quincy the Sailing Great Dane....who is now a Ranch Dane and doing quite well!

A number of my readers have asked why they don’t hear about Quincy the Sailing Great Dane any more.  She’s fine, here’s a quick update for you…read on:

For four years we cruised Mexico and Central America with family and Quincy the Sailing Great Dane….on a sailboat.  Yep, before-during and after the COVID years we hauled a fully grown Great Dane around on a sailboat with us, as she was a family member and part of the tribe.  When it came time to return to the US and we sold the boat in Panama, we brought Quincy Dane back with us…Panama to Florida via aircraft.  It was a headache but well worth it.

After coming back to the US and finishing our travels by skoolie; we settled in a small rural community where we were able to buy enough property to call ourselves a (very) smallish ranch/farm.  Quincy Dane went from 50-feet on the boat to enough property to roam with creatures big and small to sniff and play with.  But, she’s not as spry or lean and mean but she’s doing very, very well for an aging Dane.  There’s not much to tell you her age except some gray in new places.  Quincy is good and we love having her around, as well as our other dogs, cats and the rest of the animals.

We’re a small blog written by people that can’t seem to keep our stories consistent or on-time.  But we have a pretty good excuse.  We decide where and when to tell our stories, usually when we have time and inspiration to write them.  We usually don’t write much as we travel, and we’ve been traveling recently so we’ll bring those stories to you.  I used to write stories about Quincy the Sailing Great Dane every Sunday but that was on the boat, now I get busy with weekend life and don’t always write every weekend, especially if we’re traveling.

Wanna read more about Quincy Dane?  Look in our Dogs and Cats Category and you will find more stories and pics about Quincy Dane, the evolution of kitty on the sailboat and our new puppies.

Keep reading, as we’re going to continue to travel and write.
